In 2025, total cargo throughput at the Port of Rotterdam was 428.4 million tonnes. Container throughput reached 14.2 million TEU, up 3.1% in TEU terms, while total throughput declined 1.7%. Rotterdam Port: From Sea Lane to European Hinterland

The Netherlands as a Horticultural Technology System
Horticulture is a major part of the Dutch agricultural export complex. CBS estimates that the value of horticultural exports—including bulbs, cut flowers, plants and tree nursery products—rose 4% in 2025 to €12.3 billion. A Rich Religious and Philosophical Landscape
Christian Traditions
Roman Catholic and Protestant traditions have shaped Dutch history, institutions, architecture, education and social organisations. Their demographic weight has declined substantially over the long term.
Islam
Islam is an established part of contemporary Dutch religious life, with mosque communities, Islamic schools, cultural organisations, scholars and diverse migrant and Dutch-born communities.
Judaism
Dutch Jewish life has deep historical roots, with Amsterdam historically an important centre. Contemporary Jewish institutions, heritage sites and communities form part of the country's religious and cultural landscape.
Hinduism & Buddhism

Secularisation does not mean the disappearance of religion from Dutch society.
